U-3101C, US 1/64 Design Build Widening, Wake County, NC

SEPI is responsible for traffic control, signal design and signing for widening existing US1 & 64, including interchange loop and ramp additions. Widening will include eight lanes from just south of the I-40 interchange to US 64/SR 1006 (Tryon Road) in Wake County.

Improvements include pedestrian bridge over US1/64, a new Town of Cary gateway and noise walls. The interchanges at Walnut Street and Cary Parkway were redesigned to facilitate easier access and improve safety.

SEPI is also responsible for public information efforts, which include a project information line, website, newsletters, correspondence with the public, and media coordination.
