I-85 Widening, I-3803A Design Build, Mecklenburg, NC
SEPI was responsible for Traffic Control and Pavement Marking, signing, including designed sign faces, supports, and foundations as well as lighting systems for overhead assemblies, and electrical details for signals. This project consisted of the widening and reconstruction of eight miles of I-85 from four to ten lanes using concrete pavement, replacement of existing bridge over Mallard Creek, constructing new ramp tie-ins with five existing interchanges and the construction of a new NC 29-49 flyover connector with I-85 from NC 29-49 in Charlotte to Speedway Blvd. in Concord, North Carolina.
